Mission

Great companies can start anywhere.

Getting noticed early still depends on who you already know. Pitcher exists so that what you build can travel further than your network.

Access decides too much#

In the early days of a startup, a handful of people decide a lot: the first customer, an advisor who knows the market, an investor willing to take a look. Most founders meet them through people they already know.

Some start inside that network. They live in the right city, or study at a school or join a program where a good idea gets passed along within days.

Many others build something just as interesting and never get it in front of anyone who could help. Often the difference is not the work. It is where they started.

What Pitcher changes#

Every startup on Pitcher gets one page that introduces it properly: what it does, who is building it, what it has done so far and what it needs right now. Anyone can find it, follow it and contact the team.

Every person gets a profile that shows what they have actually done. Someone who shipped a product, won their first customers or published research can show it, whether or not they went to a school people recognize.

What we believe#

  • We show what someone built before where they studied.
  • Pitcher never ranks people or startups by school, employer or program. Background is context.
  • A page with a name and one sentence is a real page. Being early should not mean being invisible.
  • Any startup with a team on Pitcher can be contacted from its page, without an introduction.
  • We cannot promise funding or customers. We can help the right people find you.

Put your startup on Pitcher.
