Your account#

  • One account per person.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Pitcher. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for a service like Pitcher, you must meet that age. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to you using Pitcher, and by creating an account you confirm that they do. Pitcher is not meant for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone who does not meet these requirements, we close it and delete its personal information.
  • Roles are what you say about yourself. Claiming to be an investor, an advisor, or part of a company you are not part of gets your account removed.
  • What you add to your profile, including your background, is yours and must be true.
  • A founder may invite people to their startup's team. Nobody joins a team without accepting the invitation.
  • You are responsible for what you post under your name.

What you write#

  • You own what you write. You give Pitcher a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free permission to host, store, copy and show it on Pitcher and in links to Pitcher, such as previews and search results, for as long as it is on Pitcher.
  • Post only what you have the right to post. Do not publish someone else's confidential information.
  • Decks, videos, demos and other links belong to the people who share them and are governed by the sites they live on. You must have the right to share what you link or upload, including your logo and your profile photo.
  • Do not post anything illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful, do not upload anything designed to do damage, and do not scrape Pitcher or collect members' data.
  • Moderators can remove content and suspend accounts under the community rules. Removed content has its text erased permanently. Pitcher may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.

Pitcher is not an investing platform#

Pitcher does not process investments, sell securities, give investment advice, broker deals, or guarantee funding. It is not a broker dealer, funding portal or investment adviser, does not hold anyone's money, and takes no part in any securities transaction. Pitcher does not check or endorse any startup, person or claim on it. A contact request is a message between people, not a transaction. Nobody on Pitcher pays to pitch, pays for introductions, or pays to be reviewed. Any investment, hiring or commercial arrangement that follows a conversation here is between the parties, off Pitcher, and at their own risk and diligence.

The service#

  • Pitcher is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It is an early product and may change, pause, or shut down. If it shuts down you will be told, and you can delete your account at any time before then.
  • Pitcher is not liable for what members say to each other or do after meeting here, or for losses arising from use of the product, to the extent the law allows.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.

Reporting content#

To report content that infringes your copyright or other rights, or that breaks these terms, write to hello@trypitcher.co with the link, what is wrong with it, and how to reach you. You do not need an account. Members can also use Report on the content itself. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.

Changes and questions#

These terms can change as the product does. Changes are announced in the Founders topic. Questions go to hello@trypitcher.co or through Contact, and the community rules cover how members are expected to behave.
