DawgDecision helps UGA students compare housing options by showing true costs, hidden fees, and key tradeoffs in one place.
Needs right now
Looking for a UGA student interested in Product Research & Operations to help own user testing, research synthesis, and participant recruiting as DawgDecision moves through testing and iteration. Ideally someone who’s excited to build and take real ownership as opposed to just filling a resume line.
DawgDecision is a student decision-support platform helping students make high-friction decisions with more clarity.
We’re starting with housing at UGA and have built a working MVP that helps students compare options and understand the tradeoffs behind the decision. We’re currently in a testing and iteration phase, using live student research to improve the product and build a repeatable process for deciding what to change next. Our goal is to go deep on housing first, prove the decision-support model, and then expand into other high-friction student decisions over time.
Students are often fighting a scattered renting process while trying to make a defining decision. Rent alone rarely tells the full story: lease length, mandatory fees, utilities, transportation, parking, upfront costs, and other details are spread across different sources and can be difficult to compare consistently.
DawgDecision brings those tradeoffs into one place. Students can compare housing options side by side, see full-term costs and hidden expenses, adjust inputs to match their situation, and understand which options perform better across the factors they care about.
We have a working MVP and a three-person team spanning product, frontend, and backend/platform.
We’ve completed 12 student feedback sets and moved into live behavioral testing and problem discovery. That research has already shaped the product around clearer cost comparisons, hidden fees, lease terms, transportation, and the overall comparison experience. We’re now iterating on the product, expanding live testing, and recruiting a Product Research & Operations teammate to help scale the research process.
