Our farmers are overwhelmed. Most farmers are not making enough money to be financially sustainable. They’re also “one-man bands” who do all of the farming AND everything else that goes into running a business – the finances, the marketing, the logistics, the legal compliance, the hiring – all by themselves. And what’s making this problem worse is now farmers are being asked to farm more sustainably, and these sustainable regenerative practices are more time-consuming than what they used to do. This means farming is also highly stressful and farmers have little time to invest into making their operations more profitable.
Good Agriculture has the only scalable, tech-enabled platform to do back-office tasks for the farmer. Our financial management product does farmers’ bookkeeping, financial analysis, tax prep, and cash flow modeling. Farmers’ favorite features are “profitability by enterprise” (to see where they’re making and losing money), cash flow projections, and pre-filled tax forms. Our funding product includes a matching tool (Python scraping to identify funding opportunities, a proprietary database of these opportunities, and a matching script to tell farmers which opportunities they’re eligible for across 50+ criteria) and tools to write applications (including LLMs for narratives and templates & automation for budgets).
